The 18th World Computer Shogi Championship will be held in Japan in May (3-5) 2008. This news was announced by Takenobu Takizawa (

| It was started the 18th World Computer Shogi Championship. 22 shogi computer programmes took part in the Lower Division. See the results using link in previous message. |

| It was known the results of Upper Division of 18th World Computer Shogi Championship. There were 24 participants. By the results of this stage of WCSC Bonanza, Kakinoki Shogi, Bingo Shogi, Otsuki Shogi, Nara Shogi will play in final. |

| Computer program Gekisashi became the Champion of 18th World Computer Shogi Championship. Before Gekisashi won WCSC twice - in 2002 and 2005. |
